Maria Novoa

 

Ballet Faculty

 

Maria started ballet at the age of two and half under the Royal Academy of Dancing, training/technique completing examinations up to grade 7 of their curriculum under the instruction of Alcira Alonso and Alicia Rusconi. Maria also danced with Escuela de Danza Morena Celarie under the Vaganova technique until age 16. She has participated in Central American competitions such as Certamen Internacional de la Danza, and participated in touring with the company to Central and South America as well. Maria came to live to the USA at age 16, attending Fort Worth Ballet School, and other studios in the metroplex with teachers, Svetlana Stanova, Todd Edson, Mdme. Fedine, Enrica Tseng, Margo Dean. Maria has attended many summer intensives at Fort Worth School of Ballet. She has been invited to teach ballet for outreach programs for Texas Ballet Theater since 2001 and she enjoys teaching for Ballet Center of Fort Worth since it first opened in 2005.
