Amy Hampton

Ballet Faculty

Amy began her dance training at the age of three at the Blue Springs Ballet in Kansas City, Missouri.  At the age of twelve she was asked to join the student company, The Blue Springs Ballet Company.  Here she had the opportunity to perform several principal roles, including Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.  Amy furthered her training by attending summer intensive programs at the Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet Met, and Stephen‘s College, and was awarded scholarships to attend these programs.  Upon graduating high school, she decided to continue to pursue her love of dance by attending Texas Christian University, where she received a B.F.A in Ballet.  At TCU, Mrs. Hampton had the opportunity to work with many great artists including Choreographer-in-Residence Fernando Bujones.  Among some of her favorite roles performed while at TCU are the Trio Variation in Swan Lake (Pas de Sept), Coppelia – Act III, Bolero, and the Espirit Soloist in Transitions.  She also was a member of the Dance Honor Society, Chi Tau Epsilon.  Amy is excited to teach at The Ballet Center of Fort Worth, and being able to pass on her love of dance to others.
